Welcome to GUJI COFFEE EXPORT PLC

Guji coffee export PLC was established in 2006 GC. Since its establishment we have been mainly working on export of green coffee beans. Guji coffee export PLC ensures the delivery of our products at the right time and at the right place which makes all the differences. The founder of Guji Coffee Export PLC is Mr. Girma Edema. Our company has been receiving a lot of attention from the specialty coffee world in the past several years, and for a good reasons. On the basis of this and others standards, many privately owned washing stations have sprung up recently. As a young and dynamic company, we build a sound financial capacity base, which helps us to provide our customers with the best quality and required quantity coffee of their choice. Guji Coffee Export PLC is one of the major coffee producer and supplier sourced from its 150ha of coffee farm and by using out grower scheme program for about 1,500 farmers living around the washing station owning 3,000ha of land and supply the red ripe cherries to our washing stations.

For unwashed coffee we provide Guji, Sidamo, Yirgacheffe, Limu, Djimmah, and Nekemte.

For washed coffee we provide Guji, Sidamo, Yirgacheffe, and Limu.

Our primary goal is to supply the specially prepared higher quality traceable coffee beans to our clients. The company has its own drying & hulling stations for the sourcing of sun – dried natural coffee beans in Guji zone located at about 470km from Addis Ababa, and. This project has created an opportunity to work directly with the smallholder coffee producing farmers and suppliers so as to be benefited from the company’ export revenues since the company have a corporate social responsibility operations in the region and also; the investment has created a job for the youths to work in our facility for the betterment of their livelihood particularly for women in the area. Guji Coffee

Guji lies in the Oromia region of southern Ethiopia. Coffees sourced from this region used to be classified together with Sidamo but have since been recognized for their distinct taste profile and characteristics.

The birthplace of Arabica coffee, Ethiopia, produces some of the most sought-after coffees in the world. Guji is one of the zones of the Oromia Region, which is a rich area for coffee, with ancient roots in coffee framing. Guji has proven itself distinct from its neighboring regions, Sidamo and Yirgacheffe, by gaining a reputation for its unique flavor.
Guji Coffee is well known for its production of garden (cottage coffee) that is grown in the garden and fertilized with organic nutrients. It produces world class washed coffee due to its ideal soil type, climate, altitude, rainfall, and temperature, to produce high-quality coffee. Coffee is grown in the garden and planted at low densities, ranging from 1000 to 1800 trees per hectare. Garden coffee is fertilized with organic nutrients and is often intercropped with inset (false banana). Guji coffee is currently known for its high quality across the world and has built a reputation over many decades. Guji coffee is low yielding variety with the highest cup quality. Guji coffee bean is medium size, greenish gray color and it has balanced taste and fine flavor with medium acidy with sweet and sugary. It has fine acidity, medium body and is always sold as specialty coffee.

Sidamo Coffee

Sidamo was a province in the southern part of Ethiopia, with its capital city at Yirgalem, and after 1978 at Awasa. It was named after an ethnic group native to Ethiopia, called the Sidamo, who are located in the south-central part of the country. Their major political state was the ancient Kingdom of Sidamo.

Sidamo zone is well known for its production of garden (cottage coffee) that is grown in the garden and fertilized with organic nutrients. Yirgacheffe Coffee

Yirgacheffe is a small town of some 20,000 inhabitants which lies within the larger Sidamo coffee producing region of southern Ethiopia. It is famous for its excellent coffees, and the region is considered to be the birthplace of Ethiopian coffee.

Known for its sweet flavor and aroma with a light to medium body. Ethiopian Yirgacheffe are spicy and fragrant and are frequently reviewed and rated as some of the highest quality Arabica coffees in the world.Intensely floral & citrusy, bright tea-like body, clean finish.

Limu Coffee

Limmu is a rugged, mountainous region stretching from south-central to south-western Ethiopia, part of the Oromia Zone, that produces primarily washed coffees. The coffee beans sourced here have a distinct roundish shape and green color and are medium sized.

Limmu and Jimma are frequently distinguished by being from Western Ethiopia, with Limmu being wet processed and Jimma being dry processed. Limmu and Sidamo coffees are frequently interchangeable due to similar flavor profiles and farm by small farm hold on various farmers.
